Smart wellness chair




Challenge
Integrate comfort, adjustability, compact packaging, and structural reliability into a manufacturable chair capable of transitioning between seated and reclined positions.
What we did
Developed the load-bearing frame, enclosure components, and synchronized unfolding mechanism. Kinematic and force simulations guided the actuator configuration, component geometry, ergonomics, and prototype development.
Outcome
Delivered and validated a functional load frame and key enclosure models that met safety, reliability, and production-cost requirements while reducing the tooling needed for initial manufacturing.
